Lines on the Obvious by ~negaigoto:iconnegaigoto:

I am
Stuck in a state of perpetual movement
A colorful metamorphosis
But everyone else
Everyone else—
They are standing still
Lights flash in a minute fireworks
Time is alive
Time is going
Time—It is
Dead.
A blast
A treasure
A tear-apart morning
A broken record repeating
“How do you do?”
It is a timeless sequence
Untimed it is nothing
It is a flash
Gone
I am still
But everyone else
Everyone else—
They are gone

I love it! Although it probably means something completely different to me than what it meant to you as the writer lol! But isn't that the beauty of poetry?

Thank you! Yes, that's one thing I really like about poetry--The freedom of interpretation. I wrote a poem today that seemed extremely obvious but when Melissa read it she interpreted it almost the way I did but slightly differently and I realized how some words and phrases mean different things to different people. Very weird.
I find it very interesting how everybody's mind functions a little differently. I'm one of those peoples who ask TONS of questions because I love getting into other people's heads. It's also why character creation and development is my speciality. I like taking the opportunity to step outside my own confines, and walking around in somebody else's shoes for a while. It's one of the reasons my characters do things I'd never do. I've always hated it when in english classes we have to analyze poetry to some extent. It bothers me that it's a piece of art, and somebody's trying to tell me what somebody else was thinking when they created it which isn't possible. Only the artist themself knows exactly what was going on in their mind when they created their piece.

Yes! I hate having to analyze poetry too...If you dissect every line it just ruins the beauty.
It's like cutting up a flower.
